WHAT DO YOU FEAR?

Fear rarely announces itself.

Sometimes it waits in the darkness. Sometimes it hides behind an ordinary face, an unexpected choice, a strange sound, or something that simply should not be there.

And sometimes the thing you should fear most is yourself.

SLICES OF FEAR brings together Andrew Allen Smith’s explorations of suspense, terror, the supernatural, psychological darkness, strange possibilities, and the monsters, human and otherwise, that wait just beyond what we think we understand.

Across the Slice of Fear collections, reviewers have praised Smith’s ability to create stories filled with tension and dread, unexpected twists, memorable characters, dark humor, macabre imagery, and endings that refuse to behave the way readers expect.

From subtle unease to outright terror, from science fiction and fantasy to psychological suspense and the paranormal, every story approaches fear from a different direction.

Because fear is personal. Fear may be unique.

What terrifies one person may fascinate another.

What makes you laugh may make someone else look over their shoulder.

And the story you think cannot frighten you may be the one that follows you into the dark.

Go ahead. Take another slice.

Just remember-you may not know what you’re afraid of until you find it here.
